We now return you to your regularly scheduled random

1) When I swat a fly or a mosquito I feel like King Kong on top of the Empire State Building.

2) I miss my childhood. I don't think I appreciated it enough when I had it, but I want my boring summer days watching The Andy Griffith Show and eating microwaveable burgers. Those were the days.

3) I always get stuck next to the chatty people wherever I go. I think this is cosmic punishment for being so easily distracted.

4) Hallmark commercials make me cry.

5) Reading The Hunger Games has made me aware of how thoroughly I am unprepared for a nuclear apocalypse. Or a regular apocalypse.

6) I'm terrible at multitasking, but I keep trying it like I'll suddenly be a different person who can do it well.

7) When I finish a course in something I tend to think I know everything about that something. It's been long enough since I had a math class that I now think I know how to do all math. This is probably not true.

8) Number seven is definitely not true.

9) I find myself in the same numbers quandry as my last list.

10) Ten! Schmappy Friday, everyone.

Man, if you think Hunger Games has you feeling ill-equipped for the apocalypse, try reading Life as We Knew it. You will be wondering if you should buy enough canned food to last you at least five years.
Great list!

I don't miss my childhood, but I miss my twenties. Well, I miss the body I had in my twenties. I should have pimped it better.

Lots of commercials make me cry. (SPCA, St. Judes...OMG St.Judes around the holidays!...I fork my credit card over 15 seconds in, with tears streaming.)

Read The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I was ready to build a bomb shelter, stock it with canned goods, first aid, water, and gun & ammo up. That shit still haunts me, years later.

I can't multitask either.

Happy weekend!

1) Do you also keep a tiny Naomi Watts at your side?

2) I hear ya, but I suspect that in a few years time (okey, maybe a little more than a few - I don't know how old you are) we'll be all "I miss my twenties! I could run from place to place, blog away with my buddies, and now all I've got is this nasty gout and where are my teeth?"

3) Nope, it's the "You talk, I'll listen" note I stuck on your back...

4) *sobs* Me to-hoo...

5) Now that's a scary thought. I think I'll stick with Percy Jackson. Greek God apocalypse sounds less likely, somehow.

6) Tee hee. I could have just written "me too" on all of these points, but then I thought I'd multitask by reading and writing simultanoeously. So far not going terrifically... (Like I have no idea how to spell simultaneously)

7) Maths? Ugh - I just had a sudden flaskback of an unpleasant rash or something...

8) Rash...

9) *snort* Me too!

10) Happy, sorry, schmappy Friday (and now Saturday) to you too! Loved the list, and loved the random. Random RULES!

Childhood I don't think is fully appreciated until you're an adult. Loved your random list!!

I remember as a kid reading books like The Hunger Games (well, not exactly like it because really, there isn't anything like it, but you know what I mean?) and thinking that I needed to work on my outdoors skills so I could live off the land like Katniss in the event of a major disaster. Still hasn't happened...the disaster OR my preparedness :)

Or a zombie apocolypse (referring to The Forest of Hands and Teeth book) LOL!
